"At the forty-second annual meeting of the American Political Science Association in December, 1946, a section was devoted to the consideration of constitutional and political developments in European countries. Leading authorities in the various governments of Europe presented papers that went a long way toward filling the principal voids in a study of current European government. These papers have since been expanded to include more recent information and are here presented for students of European government as well as for the layman who desires to be informed of the significant present-day constitutional and political developments in Europe. An additional chapter on postwar politics in Great Britain, although not one of the original contributions to the section, has been included because of its timelines and general value."
"Change and Crisis in European Government" look at the various governments of Europe in the immediate aftermath of World War II, with a focus on constitutions. It contains essays by a number of scholars. This is a very interesting little book, with multiple chapters looking at Germany and the issues they faced after World War II.
Other than wear to the top and bottom of the spine, the book is in dust jacket condition. One previous owner wrote their name in pencil on the front endpaper, but that is the only marking on the book. There is no foxing present and all of the pages are in great shape. There is some staining on the inside of the cover from the glue used when it was printed, but the cover is still firmly attached.
