First National Bank Building, Detroit, Michigan

Erected on the site of the historic Pontchartrain Hotel on Cadillac Square, said to be the most prominent site in the City of Detroit. The banks and affiliated parties, which included the First National company, occupied eight floors above the street level and four below. The building was twenty-four stories high. This photo was shot early in the 1930s.
