German Paper Mache Easter Egg with Rabbit Fishing 4.75' long -- perfect to Present Fishing Lure In

This sweet West German, paper mache egg, is decorated with a sleeping bunny with a fishing pole. It would be the perfect for a fisherman, no matter his age. It can be filled with chocolates and candy as an Easter surprise.

On the edge it is marked Cannon Falls, Inc., which was an early company mark used by Midwest Imports of Cannon Falls which began in 1952. Thus, the egg can be dated, 1953 to 1958, it is also marked, Made in Western Germany, which is always a sign of a beautifully constructed paper mache egg. They were also made in East Germany (GDR Soviet occupied) in the 1950s, but they are usually of lesser quality, as the manufacturers in East Germany did not have the same supplies.
