Back: ON THE BY-WAY In Washington County 4 miles East of Marietta, Ohio is the Hildreth Covered Bridge, (officially #24) a lovely 126 foot crossing with a Howe Truss type construction spanning the Little Muskingum River just south of SR 26. Several of the old Covered Bridge in Ohio are being restored for further service because of their weathering ability as well as their scenic beauty and historic value.
