Peter the Drumming Rabbit, Battery Operated Easter , 1950s

Our large drumming Peter Rabbit was made in the 1950s by Alps Japan in the 1, but it is not marked .. His body and clothing are in wonderful condition. Even the battery box is without rust or damage from over-stored batteries. This guy was loved and cared for ...maybe by the child who found it in an Easter basket many years ago. Or Perhaps a Mother stored it away and prized it as a memory of her children at Easter. The eyes light up but the bunny does mot move. It is possible it is only the wiring which is loose, as the toy does not look abused or even used. The fine wires in toys like this, easily come detached, and it would stop the current from the batteries. Someone handy with tiny mechanical toy mechanisms will most likely get it going.
