The Farmers Market had its humble beginning in the eighteen crude little booths offering fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, poultry, dairy products, homebred bread and California wines, all direct from the farmer. From this mushroomed the most unique and complete marketing center of the west, offering every type of foods, home furnishings, hardware, apparel, gifts and souvenirs.
