Back: THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey This church was organized about 1664. The edifice which stood on this spot was burned by the British January 25, 1780. In the 1789 the second building was completed. The present building is a 1947 restoration, the former edifice having burned June 5, 1946.
