"The Little Swiss Wood-Carver" by Madeline Brandeis was written because the author and her daughter "wanted to see what was going on in European child life to-day." Rather than illustrations, this book features photographs of Sweden taken by the author on her trip with her daughter to visit Europe. All of the pages and the cover are intact and the inside shows no foxing. There is no writing inside, other than a small pencil mark on page 21. Someone clearly treasured this book, as the cover exhibits some wear and the corners are rounded. This copy was published in 1929 and is a first edition.
