No. 144 | "The Plaza, Taos, New Mexico Has been the meeting place of the "gente" (people) since the colonial days of Don Fernando. Here were held the Fiestas and many a courtship according to the ancient Spanish custom was born here. Trappers, miners, traders and adventurers of the early American occupation told stories of their weird experiences. In most recent years it was a picturesque setting for local artists."
