Tin Litho VW Friction Taxi 1960s - STP Car 3 - Shell Logo and STP Logo From 1950s - Made in Japan - Cartoon Characters Inside Taxi

This little tin litho VW # 3 Taxi is full of charming cartoon characters. This little car has fadded somewhat on the hood and roof. The red outline of a flower image has lightened, while all the banana yellow and aqua blue remains vibrant. This toy must have had some promotional value to STP and Shell to have the logos on the car. The car is in played with condition, if pressed down and forward the friction sound is present, but cuts out in short order. This is a cute collectible "tinnie" that screams of the hippie era. It is marked made in Japan.
