"Laboratory work is an essential and integral part of a good course in Physics. The actual handling of the apparatus, manipulating it to make it serve his ends, will assist the student in mastering principles which would otherwise be (to him) hazy or even entirely unknown. When a student does laboratory work properly, he will have an appreciation of Physics that he can not possibly get from books alone."
Written by a professor at the University of Michigan and printed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this laboratory manual was very likely for a class at the University of Michigan. This book is full of interesting diagrams and illustrations, along with the physics problems. There are some bits of pencil annotation in the book, but none that take away from the text, they're just small margin notes. There is also the name of a previous owner written on the front endpaper. The front hinge is broken and the gauze of the binding can be seen, but the cover is still well attached and all of the pages are present. There is no foxing on any of the pages.
