Wade Bush Baby, Red Rose Tea Collectible - Animal Series

Red Rose Tea Bush Baby, collected as premiums from Rose Tea. It is tan with darker hues to resemble naturally casted shadows and hair. It was created to be in the animal series. This would go well in a tropical jungle scene, created as a school project, or can displayed with other Rose tea animals to create a collection, many of the other animals are shown on this Etsy page. In 1967, Red Rose Tea Company of Canada, worked out a contract with Wade ceramics of England, a company founded in 1954, which built a strong reputation for producing several series of miniature ceramic creatures. Red Rose Tea contracted them to make special collectible miniature animals to act as premiums in the Red Rose Tea boxes. As 1983 rolled around, the series included 15 animals which were in high demand in the United States. They were often used in shelf units to display the animals, as they were collected. They were often traded to get the 15 animals in the set. Today they are still collected online.
