Wade Sturgeon, Red Rose Collectible Endangered Animals Series

Rose Tea Sturgeon, collected as premiums from Rose Tea. It is blue with darker hues to resemble natural colors. It would go well in a lake scene or can be paired with other Rose tea endangered animals to create a collection.
In 1967, Red Rose Tea Company of Canada, worked out a contract with Wade ceramics of England, to produce several series of miniature ceramic creatures. Red Rose Tea contracted them to make special collectible miniature animals to act as prizes or premiums in boxes of their tea. In 1983 they created a series which included 15 endangered animals which became very collectible in the U.S. United States. This Sturgeon was part of the original series of 15.
