Back information: Whirlpool Rapids Occur three miles below the Falls and just immediately below the Single Arch Street Bridge of the Grand Trunk Railway System. The tremendous current of the Niagara River is here contracted into a narrow passage between the cliffs and the downward grade of the river is extremely abrupt.
